Here at scottishbanjo.co.uk we believe we are the only suppliers of Cooperman company, 3 Ply Hard Rock Maple Banjo Rims in Scotland, we are offering our 3 Ply Hard Maple Banjo rim supplied as in the picture, this rim needs to be turned down to fit your tone ring. This is a high quality rim for bluegrass, jazz or old-time banjos.

This is an un-drilled oversize 3-ply maple blank, unfinished and ready for lathe-turning in your shop. It must be turned to fit the 11" (279.40mm) diameter tone ring of

The Gibson Mastertone-style 20-hole Flathead design favoured by bluegrass players since the 1940s.

Machined from Cast Bell Bronze alloy to pre-war dimensions, it gives a deep crisp powerful tone when the instrument is played at lower frets, with great clarity at higher positions. 11" diameter, available in Nickel, Chrome or Natural finish

Fits standard 3/4-inch maple rim

A high crown or medium crown banjo head is usually required for this tone ring.

Banjo aficionado Jaroslav Prucha is obsessed with pre-war banjos, like  those made by Gibson in the 1920s and '30s. Studying an original flange,  Prucha found marks that reveal secrets of how it was machined and  plated. Now he's creating perfect copies of that 80-year old flange from  the Kalamazoo factory.
